This is disgusting! How can a man who defends his family be convicted, but the man who beat them gets a free pass because the the victims didnt go to court?....Something is wrong in our justice system.

I'm willing to bet that Lightning has struck more than once. Someone needs to buy a pair of gym socks and and a package of D cells and pay him a visit. Kudos for Bruno.

As part of his conditional sentence, Bruno was ordered to be under house arrest for the first three months and a nightly curfew for the balance. He must also take counselling for anger management and perform 50 hours of community service. He will then be on probation for one year.

Meanwhile, the assault charges against Lightning were dismissed after the complainants failed to come to court.

Gee I wonder why the complainants failed to appear? Might just be that they're afraid of Mr. lightning, especially now that they're protector has become a convicted felon and can't keep them safe. :x

Just one more in a long list of disgusting and incomprehensible decisions issued by a judicial system that sold it's soul long ago.

You may be right, but if I remember correctly, because of this reason, Crown lays domestic assault charges not the victim.

To much Stockholm syndrome type happenings.
