QUEBEC — A Parti Quebecois delegate, who doesn’t want his name published because he is a civil servant, told a weekend PQ meeting that an independent Quebec, rather than commissioning a new national anthem, could adapt the one Quebecers are used to: O Can

And it starts, they'll want to keep our money, our federal buildings, our armed forces and equipment, the sepratists are a fucking laughing stock.

I don't quite understand why some of them even want to seperate. They want to keep all the federal institutions anyways. It's like that time I moved out of my parents house but still wanted an allowance and expected mom to do my laundry and let me borrow the car. Well, I never did that, but I'm not an idiot either.

These separtist wogs are once again a week late and a dollar short, as usual.

In case they hadn't noticed, one of their own, Roger Doucet used to do what they're proposing whenever he sang the Canadian National Anthem at Habs games in the Old Montreal Forum.

Good voice bad politics, but hey what would you expect from a former CBC employee.

Anyway, Quebec has already an unofficial anthem. If we were to seperate (which I don't want), we would at least have that.

The anthem would be "Gens du pays".

Now where have we seen a newly-independent nation seek to keep aspects and institutions of the old regime before?

I'm not sure. Are you trying to imply that Canada did the same when we gained out independance? Because it's really not the same.

Let them seperate, but they have to print all there own money, they have to create their own armed forces, police force, health care system etc. etc. Our armed forces will lose about %25 of our people due to us haviong to boot non-Canadians from our military but so be it, they can go form Quebec's new military.

    Most of them wouldn't go.

If Quebec seperates it's military will most likely consist of that weirdo doofus militia that's been running their mouth on the net, dressing in mismatched cammo's using antiquated worn out military hardware, while playing soldier.

At best they'll end up being like the John Candy character in Canadian Bacon.

Yah I don't see it, most soldiers have some sence of patriotism for their country, I'm sure these guys didn't signup to fight for Quebec

A good portion of the Franco troops I have met throughout my years have no desire to move back to Quebec when they retire! Also, I would have to say that almost 100% of the Franco troops that I have met are loyal to Canada and think that the separtists are fucking loons.
