Skiers in Western Canada ignore avalanche warning

Skiers and snowboarders didn't stay away from the backcountry this weekend, despite a special avalanche warning issued for most of Alberta and B.C.

It should also be up to them to pay the bill if they need their asses rescued.

Agreed.

But let's not stop there. Why not anyone who disobeys or ignores safety warnings or rules and then finds their ass in a sling.

When the Coast Guard started charging boaters who ran out of gas the cost of the tow back to safety the number of distress calls from these idiots dropped by over half, so there's no reason to assume it wouldn't work with the adrenaline junkie crowd.

BTW can't pay, oh well you work during you time off for the agency that saved your asss till your debts repaid.
