Here we go. We play host to the scum of the world because of our bullshit immigration policy. They're permanent residents but didn't actually live here. We let accpeted these people as immigrants, why?
Plastic Canadians. I got shit for being out of Canada for 5 years. I had to get a special landing certificate that took 12 months to get otherwise I'd have been back after 4 years. Maybe I should have been related to a 3rd world dictator and I would have been ok.

What!!! Model citizens and at least they're not piss-poor... bringing all that money they probably stole from Tunisia.
At least... and I hope it's true... if Tunisia wants to charge and prosecute them, they can ask us to send them back. I'm guessing that Tunisia will probably want Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and that's why he went to Saudi Arabia instead of Canada, where he probably stands a better chance of not being extradited.
"ShepherdsDog" said who gave you shit for being out of the country for extended periods?
Canada Immigration. At that time as a Landed Immigrant, if you were out of Canada for a set time in 3 years or for more than 12 months, your status was deemed in jeopardy. I had to get the 'Returning Resident' certificate and I was interviewed at the Canadian High Commission in London. Of course that all cost another few hundred bucks. I was probably the only UK native in the room. Lots of hypehenated-Brits on their way to be hyphenated Canadians.
This was 1994 though.....and I am a Limey. Canada Immigration gave me the impression that Brits were less than welcome.
Have things really changed since then? Preference is given to those who would bring a third world mentality to Canada....the two solitudes became the Canadian mosaic which has now become the the group of ghettos.
"sandorski" said The Relatives have good reason to leave. Unless they were directly involved in the Dictatorship I have no problem with them being here.
Are you blind, naive, or just stupid ?
Of course the relatives were involved in the government, that's how things work.
That's where the money comes from for the private jet, and the PR cards.
Just watch how long extradition will take.. years, and costs millions.

I doubt it really. The guy who interviewed me in London was an ex-Fishhead (RCN) and was very friendly once he saw I'd originally landed in Goose Bay. He said, "We don't get many of your type these days."
Everybody else I dealt with in Immigration were wankers.

Superfail, dorkster, bordering on the moronic.
Not blind, naive, or stupid. Just didn't read the article. I'll accept "Superfail".
