A Christian bishop blew the "last trumpet" on rule by the Muslim north on Saturday as he was among the last to vote in a landmark referendum on independence for south Sudan before polls closed.

    I'm really hoping this change goes peacefully.

    The oil in the area tells me it won't.

    The northern sand bandits will do everything possible to ruin any chances that the south has to make a go of it

    If that's the case maybe the OAS should step in and help Southern Sudan. ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

    Sorry I don't know what I was thinking. Next to the the UN, the OAS is the most impotent organization on the planet, which, like you say doesn't bode well for Southern Sudan.

    Oh goody, another African country that we'll have to start sending aid to in 6 months after it collapses into whatever conflict-of-the-month. :roll:
