Why does it have to be Biblical....Why not just unimaginable or fantasy...just like the bible.

They complain because it's too dry, now they complain because it's too wet.
Those Australians are never happy. 8O

...to answer the biblical thing, a flood is a flood, if you want, you can say a BIG flood.

I wonder what the Aussies did to piss God off? I wonder if it was bad enough that God didn't get anyone to build an Ark this time around?

(Hence why all "big Floods" are referred to as "Biblical"... ... People just have no sense of tradition when it comes to really big natural disasters anymore.)

When people have a sorrow, they find the reasons of it, for now they can't find and the bible as always helps them.

Well, if you bothered to read the article instead of knee-jerking your obvious disdain for religion, you'd see that the article title came from a QUOTE from the Queensland Treasurer who used the term "Biblical" to describe flooding of an area bigger than Germany and France combined.
If you don't like the phrasing, go bitch to Andrew Fraser. Don't forget to pack some Wellies.

A better question is why do YOU have to be ignorant about such comparisons with the Bible, while bashing it simoultaneously. Perhaps you should be less worried about the religious aspect of this, and maybe show some concern or sympathy for people that hae had/are having their lives ruined at this very moment.
