A Nova Scotia mutt named Misty is vying for a spot in the record books as the oldest living dog in the world.

Huh, I knew a guy with a dog that was 24 in Alta. She died last year. Don't think the guy knew about the concept of a record, or really cared.

A dog year is not equal to 7 human years. This is a misconception. Smaller dogs age at different rates than larger dogs as well, and tend to live a lot longer.

The dogs are perfect pets, but they have one horrible property - they usually die earlier than it's owner. It's like to lose a very close friend

or just get married. ..if i'm going to endure 50 years of shrill squawking, i want to do it with something that can at least draw an income.
