Computer to play against Jeopardy champs

This is no chess match. A computer designed by IBM is getting ready to match wits against the greatest Jeopardy! champions in the game show's history.

I think this would be a fascinating experiment. At first I thought the computer would have a huge advantage because it could hold a vast database of information, however I don't really know how well a computer could comprehend the subtle clues that the questions contain, or how fast it could decipher them and be able to come up with an answer before the human contestants could.
