B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell says it was the public's focus on his sinking popularity and not a caucus revolt that led him to consider resigning.

Don't care about the drunk driving. BC rail, the way the HST was brought in, Olympics, BC Place roof etc, lowest minimum wage in BC, 25% wage increase for MPs, etc.

Or the fact he was facing revolt by the party faithful and his polling numbers were abysmal. From the sounds of it the election war chest was going to up and leave splitting the party if he didn't go.

Still amazed he didn't take the whole party down with him. Man has an ego the size of BC and just as stubborn. It's what made him leadership material to begin with. Thought for sure he would make another run at it.

And now we play the waiting game to see who these ass clowns dig up to replace Gordo the Munificent?

My guess is that it'll be Colin Hansen since next to Gordo he's got the biggest unchecked ego of the bunch, which is fortunate because it'll make getting rid of the whole rotten buch of self serving pricks all that much more satisfying.

Since Campbell only resigned as Premier and not as a member of the Liberal Party, it makes me think that Mr. sleezoid will still be making the decisions for his corrupt, unrepentent party for years to come.

So, like they say you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig and in this case anybody they choose will still be a Campbell Liberal, no matter how they dress them up.

WHatever you say about Campbell, he's a much better choice than that idiot Carole James for Premier. Like most political fights, its the lesser of two evils.

Since Carole James has never been premier, you really don't have a basis for comparison. But I'll agree, Gordo's statements haven't been idiotic at all. Just outright lies.

lets not forget how he shut down most acute care and trama facilities in rural industrial areas of BC, now making it difficult to get into an industrial accident and still make it home another day to hug your children
