Of COURSE there has to come a lawsuit now, against the hotel, because they hadn't made any effort to put a rail along the rail, so she wouldn't have been able to try to slide down, or the lack of a safety-net, so that IF someone tried it, they wouldn't fall to their death...

Brenda, I really hope you're wrong, but seeing where this took place (sue-happy) the family will probably try sueing the hotel. It just dumbfounds me that people can do really stupid things and then the blame gets put on someone else, like the hotel for not having a safety net.

Article says "Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in her death." I assumed it did, this makes the stunt even more stupid. At least when alcohol is involved people have an excuse for doing stupid things. This means being sober she climbed onto a rail that on one side had a 4-storey drop and tried to slide down. And she was a early childhood educator, can you "don't try this children".
Don't get me wrong, this is a senseless death and I feel for the family losing a loved one, but this lady really should've known better.

Isn't this just in the same category as
"do not use microwave-oven to dry your pet in"?

Brenda agreed! or like a story I heard of a guy putting his rented motorhome on cruise control and going to the back to use the bathroom. Cruise control is not auto-pilot!

When I read topics like that, I'm always wondering "How??" How a human can be so stupid, to die from yourself stupidly is one the biggest shames. But anyway that's tragic and funny)
