Bomb disposal experts say a rocket launcher discovered on a major highway north of Victoria earlier this week is the first such live explosive device ever found in B.C.
This reminds me of one night watching "Future Weapons". I can't remember what exactly it was they were "experimenting" with, but I remember thinking "Wow, that's really awesome. The guys could really use something like that in the field." On the show they said they were hoping to have this piece of equipment in the field within a couple years. It was shortly thereafter, I found a pic and article on an American army member site with that exact equipment. I double checked, and cross referenced... Yep, that was the unit. Future, my ass.

They probably were refering to the Canadian Military, in which case the weapons would likely be available in 12 to 17 years!

No kidding, I remember being in a military museum in the states and they had this CRTTZ unit set up and I laughed because it was the exact one I was using at the time.
I just ran a range last week with these weapons that he says we don't use.

Wow! CRTTZ, there's a blast from the past!
Yeah, I was using ticker tape when the U.S. was already digital.
I wasn't sure what to think, felt like Encino man.
