The soldier in charge of coming up with a leaner Canadian Forces is signalling that the axe will fall on the defence bureaucracy and the ranks of reservists to spare a fighting force that will be deployed to war zones and natural disasters.

    More good times ahead for the military.

    Reserves cover for a lot of the empty Reg Force billets as well as backfill for those on deployment, sick, or on MATA/PATA.

    Umm I remember a big reason many people in western Canada voted conservative over liberals was because of the CF not getting the funding we all believe it deserves. Now if the Conservatives start doing what the liberals did I may be forced to vote lib.... forced to make my own political party and run just so I don't have to vote for any of the big 3
