I'd rather read no news than Star news. I trust rumour and assumptions just as much. My wife pulled a free copy from a hotel the other day for our drive out west (you never know when you'll need toilet paper on a road trip) and I nearly wretched (sp?) when she read off an editorila crying about how non citizens are not allowed to vote in Toronto and how this is such an injustice. I told her to keep the rest of the crap in there to herself.
It's no different than the Star using a left-wing anti-military think tank as it's 'military experts'.
AKA Stephen Staples of Ceasefire.ca and the Rideau Institute.
A military expert that has never served in the military or was a civil servant in the DND, never been involved in the defence industry, has no relevant academic qualifications to be a 'defence expert' and is funded by such interested and unbiased sources as CUPE.
"PublicAnimalNo9" said Maybe the "journalist" that wrote the article jumped the gun a bit cuz he was all excited about entering a brand new career path.
It's just another example of lazy journalism, or agenda driven journalism that is prevalent in Canada's media these days.
Any Tory story with a bad-news element doesn't get scrutiny. It's obviously right because the Tories are just bad eh?
Print it! Just because its untrue doesn't matter. The plebs will believe it anyway.

The Star and CTV love to use him though.
