I believe that law abiding citizens have the right to life and liberty without fear of persecution from others. Even my beliefs on gun control and self defense support the idea that you leave me alone, and I leave you alone. but get in my face and threaten me, then expect a harsh and possibly fatal response. I think gays should arm themselves and start blasting every biggot that gets in their way.

I dont know how someone could possibly be rehabilitated after doing that to another human being.

I dont see that as being a solution. How about we reduce the number of bigots by making it so socially unacceptable to abuse homosexuals that 'gay bashing' could be considered par with pedophilia.

I think shooting biggots, along with would be rapists and murderers, would be a good way to deal with the maggots of society.

thats why you need to only shoot in a self defense situation, people that go around proactively trying to be judge and jury are vigialantes, a person defending themselves is not.

Even in a self defense situation innocent people can still be hurt. Violence against violence is not a deterrent.

its not violence when you are placed in a situation where defending yourself has become a necessity. 'violence' suggests that the would be victim has no right to defend themselves. why not use the words 'survival' or even the concept that defending yourself is a form of justice that weeds out the scumbags that dont deserve to live.

as far as innocent people getting hurt, i dont think so. our 'wild west' wasnt that way. it was actually quite civilized...people learned courtesty and ettiquette when dealing with each other, two things I think society could use more of. Even peace loving hippy bums have lost the art of being courteous and polite.

I think laws have to be changed in Canada for victims of violence where racism is involved.

Also, I think schools should been the first line of defense, education. Sensitivity courses?

I know we have hate crime legislation, but I feel the system is way to easy on criminals. (not exclusive to hate crime either, other crimes, rape, murder, and so on)

I believe in the death penalty and work camps. No free ride, put criminals to work, digging ditches, whatever.
