Just in the RAF bogs......and every sheet has 'Government property' printed on it!
Great beaches there though and Limassol is a good spot. I think the CF does R&R there now anyway, does it not?

I know they do decompression there now. I haven't been to Cyprus since '87. But the beaches at Limassol and Ayia Napa were quite eye opening!

Way to see our government stand up! I'm guess Cyprus will enjoy the funds the CF spends there more than the UAE.
Personally I don't think this as unfair to have a few extra landing rights in return for operating a military base on their soil. Not like there is huge traffic between the two I guess they rather pay corrupt Paki politicians to use their bases.
As for cyprus Its a quite a bit far I think. Dubai is literally minutes away from Iran and an hour and a half away fron A'stan by commerical air liner.
And there are already direct flights to Dubai fron Canada. Buddy comming over soon by direct flight from Toronto to Dubai on Emirates. I don't think there is a another direct air connection offered by any other airline anyways. Just saying.
