Russia's Arctic plans infuriate Canada

So its under water land grab. Sounds like fun.

We should immediately send our brand new heavey icebreaker The Deifenbaker up there to sort the Russians out. We can't, OK. Then we should immediately send our brand new Arctic Patrol Vessels. Oh shit!

Maybe we should buy combat aircraft off those nice friendly Russians instead. After all, they are no threat to us.

Sure, in any conflict with Russia I'm sure the Russians will still be fair enough to keep you in spares and whatnot.

I just like having gear that actually breaks ice, personally I would bug Sweden if I was looking for a quick icebreaker but Russian is still better than not having it at all.

Canada infuriated? Not this Canadian! Not even concerned at this point. Russia has what, half or more already and starting a war with the US, Canada and Sweden over less than half combined would be utterly stupid to the extreme. I think some feel inadiquate? when compared to those poor Russians who are more advanced in the north than we. Too bad soooo sad. Get over it and move on.
