And people wonder why my generation is far lazier than previous ones, overprotective parents can be just as dangerous to their child's growth as an abusive one.

Very important. Really. That's something you should really make a problem of.

I'm sure the ridiculous over-reaction to a shirt featuring a pair of giant hooters that was labelled 'milk powered' would have been equally priceless.

Apparently, everybody wants their voice heard. And with the interwebzz, everybody can make it happen.
I'd just say: "if you don't like it, don't buy it". But hey, who says common sense is common?

I agree with what you've said here, but this case falls under the spurious new right to never be offended.

These ppl need to fuck right off. I guess they are unaware that there ARE women out there who cannot breast feed their children. Or more precisely, their babies have a reaction to breast milk.
What a selfish, ignorant attention whore!

I don't understand the vitriol in their reaction, but I understand their sentiment.

I only used formula (pre-made baby food too) for my daughter when I absolutely had to. Breast feeding is far better for infants than any powder made in a factory.

So is anything artificial. Doesn't necessarily mean it's all bad. If you have the choice between NOT feeding your child or use Formula, I know what my choice is.
I breastfed one and bottle fed the other child. They are both healthy. Actually, the breastfed one has been in hospital for her ears, tonsils and fevers more than the bottle fed one. And I am not saying that is because of, I'm just saying that Formula is not a bad thing.

Formulas was not widely used when I was born and my mother could not breast feed me.
I was fed Carnation evaporated milk until I could eat... that was probably at about 3 weeks. 8O
