    Holy crap!!

Just wait for the pileups when people emergency break or swerve and get into an accident.

...so what's wrong with a conventional speed bump?

This idea is an accident waiting to happen, or worse.

I don't see it as any worse than those large video displays around Edmonton. It shouldn't affect good drivers one bit (those who pay attention).

You know what makes me slow down ?

School Zone signs, yeah they work too.

Last thing I want to do is hit anyone especially a kid.

    Waste of money.

    A bad ideal all around.

People's minds can become accustomed to most anything and seeing a child in the street is going to evoke a "holy shit" response for about a day and then they're gonna go back to daydreaming, reading the paper, smoking a joint, talking on the cellphone or having a nap while driving and block out this 3d image.

Then guess what happens when a real child runs out in the street?

Bingo, the drivers mind will naturally assume that it's just another stupid decal and the driver won't respond............one dead child and a tragedy that could have been avoided won't be.

Aside from people reacting stupid and hitting something when they see the image, I have a bigger concern. After a local driver passes this a dozen times, the next time they see a real kid chasing after a ball will complacency will kick in and they wont stop at all?

it should be a police officer not a child
