Reported oil rig explosion in Gulf of Mexico

There has been a reported explosion at an offshore oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday morning. U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Casey Ranel said a commercial helicopter company reported the blast at about 9:30 a.m. CDT.

    Well, if it's only a production platform, the damage won't be anywhere near as bad as a rig going off. That's not to say it's no big deal in an attempt to whitewash it cuz this is the LAST thing the Gulf needs right now. :(
