The renegade flight attendant who cursed out a passenger and emergency-chuted to folk-hero status thanked the world for its support and said he wants to go back to work.
Well, having been a business owner and having told the occassional "customer" to go take a flying fuck at the moon, I can sure understand Mr. Slater's reaction. However having said that, he quit his job with no notice and deplaned illegally. You lose Mr. Slater. I wouldn't hire ya back either.
Slater would not talk about his actions Thursday. He smiled silently for most of the 10-minute news conference, then offered a brief thanks to the public, saying, "It's been amazing, the support and love ... everything that's been brought to me."
Stoners, 30 somethings living in Mom's basement, and the terminally unemployed love you dumbass. Have fun job hunting after this...
Mind you, the book/made for tv movie deal might work out.
The story from passengers is that he showed up for the flight with the gash on his head, half in the bag and with lots of 'tude. He obviously needs to work on some issues if he wants to be employed. I doubt any airline will touch him, but the fast food industry is probably wide open.

No, that's pushing it.
He would have had to have sex with an underage boy in the bathroom, stolen the whole plane and make the tax payer pay for the whole mess.
i don't really know the full story but i believe he should be giving a second chance. I do truly believe in second chance. So if i were the company i will hire him back and create a punishment for such behaviour so no one will do such in the future.

Sure and the punishment could be like most other companies. You lose your job.
How about not giving him a second chance and making that the punishment for everyone who screws up big time?
I'm pretty sure the message would get out to all those other JetBlue employees, who live and work in caves and hadn't heard about Steven Slater.
