GUANTANAMO BAY U.S. NAVAL STATION, Cuba — Omar Khadr told interrogators he was an al-Qaida trained terrorist and described pulling the pin and throwing the grenade that killed a U.S. soldier in a July 2002 fire fight in Afghanistan, according to the prose
An admission of guilt is an admission of guilt, I hold military lawyers in a much higher estame than their civilian counterparts. Theye have become legal whores yet but Colonel Jackson would have to come come up with some real good proof of his allegations.
I have a lot more sympathy for Tabaitha Spears. To look at her husbands murderer boasting how it made him feel good to kill her husband.
though i dont really sympathize with him, and dont think it should be canadas problem at all (i mean, what the hell were they doing in afghanistan anyways?) this admission of guilt has obviously been forced upon him by years of abuse in guantanamo

ya, they very cleverly edited out the Marine standing behind Kadhr when he was putting those ieds together.
Treat him as a soldier, so he's a pow that gets released at some point. Or treat him as a civilian, which means he gets a civilian trial. No other provisions exist in the Geneva convention.
Better yet, treat him as a child soldier, which is what he was.

He's not a soldier.
He's not a civilian.
He's not a child... the UN says 15, and Omar was 15 when he murdered SFC Speer.
People outside the Geneva conventions can have a summary execution.
That is what he should have had.. and deserves now.
Why is he not a soldier? Because no uniform? What's the uniform of the Taliban? Have US soldiers or agents really never killed an enemy while dressed to blend in?
If he's not a soldier, by definition he's a civilian. What other category is there?
If the UN says he's not child soldier, then fine - but lots of people seem to say he is - are they all ignorant of the UN and you know the truth?

A wonder what Khadr's defense is going to be.

He was a just a scared little boy, oh and the Tali who died
10 seconds after throwing the grenade did it.
lots of BS.
His dad was a great humanitarian too.
Apparently he was just looking for his skateboard in that Taliban held village that was sniping at the US Army.
Originally he last saw his skateboard in Toronto, he got on a bus and ended up in a fire-fight in Afghanistan. Poor fucker!
None of it is his fault and those of you saying bad things against him are just Islama-phobic racist gits and you should be ashamed of yourselves.
