Theyre just a few distinctive markings on some fossilized antelope bones. But they add an astonishing million years to the origins of our humanity.

Just in case we wonder why we crave BBQ so much. ;) It's part of what we are.

Nothing like firing up the ole grill and BBQing some freshly killed antelope or if the in laws are in town zebra shanks.

PDT_Armataz_01_03 ...Now wait just a minute here. This can't be true....

This must be the work of the devil.....

Everyone knows the Earth is just a little over 6000 years old and we sure as hell didn't come from some ape type creature living in Africa and anyone who says different is one of the Devil's minions...

We all came from one couple who lived in a pretty cool garden but got kicked out cause they ate the owners apples and he got pissed and evicted them. We all descend from them and their two kids....that were both boys..... and one killed the other one... :? ......Never mind.....so, 2.5 millions years ago eh?.......Interesting.

That garden story is about when we discovered agriculture, comes much later. Average life expectancy went way down, protein deficiencies way up. Allowed hoarding, war etc. Also the creation of a leisure class that had the time to think up new inventions.

Uh oh...i smell a little Jared Diamond in the rough.

I remember even some years ago that anthropology was pushing back tool kits further and further back. As long as new discoveries are being made, the texts keep getting new editions.

That's the problem with making continuous discoveries; new finding supersede old ones. That's the beauty of science.

    Science asks questions, religion doesn't.

I'm sure my mother-in-law used tools when she was young and she's pretty old. 8)

I know the discovery and validity of these tools to be fact, since, I still own a whole set of these antelope bone meat cleaving tools, (patent pending) that I got as a christmas gift back in 3.6 million BC from my folks in Ethiopia.

The sad part is that all I really wanted was a pony.

    Tastes better than an antelope.

    ROTFL

    You got that backwards.

God created man 6000 years ago.

Man started using tools at least 3.6 million years ago, so human kind most be at least that old if that is the way you want to classify humanity.

    Which sounds more certain?
