Sounds like we need a carrier task force there in case the Iranian sailors want to die for their country.

I doubt Iran wants to provoke a war. Sounds more like some oil companies just want an excuse to jack up prices and profits is more likely.

Ya, any time I see "...Could Send X to $Y a Z" I do think blatant market manipulation.

The bothersome thing is how they're comparing an oil embargo to terrorism.

    Uh, no.

If anything, an ASW taskgroup to turn them into Mk 48 sponges. Keep the carriers out of it.

    Or, a couple of LAs.

Woohoo! Alberta will have another boom! J/K

Realistically, I don't see anyone in Western military HQs too worried about some leaky Iranian subs.

I think it's as earlier posters mentioned, rationale for speculators to jack up prices again.

Yeah specially after global turndown and massive debt and default in the real estate sector there. Even the poor foreigners workers there have been squeezed as much as possible so need something to fill their coffers so they buy the later super cars fly them out and flash their bling.

I agree with BartSimpson, when he said "oil companies just want an excuse to jack up prices.!" How the "Hell," does John Kilduff make an fool's educated guess that "oil will reach $200 a barrell?"

Threat of Martian Invasion May Send Oil To $500 Barrell
Oil speculators will use any fucking excuse to boost prices won't they?
