UN: Afghan civilian deaths rise sharply

The number of civilians killed in the Afghan conflict rose 25 per cent in the first six months of the year, with insurgents responsible for the spike, the United Nations said in a report Tuesday.

    The report showed that the Afghan war is getting even more deadly because of insurgent actions against civilians
