A flight attendant became so angry at a rude passenger upon landing Monday that he cursed out 100 travellers on the plane's PA system and then escaped by activating -- then using -- the jet's emergency slide, police said.
I'd say that its a perfectly natural and normal reaction to get mad when you get hit in the head with luggage, however, this attendant has managed to cross the line, ya think?
Having worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for 10 years, there have been many a time I wish I could just knock the living daylights out of some of the dumb ass clients. I've seen all sort of shit, morons putting themselves in danger, ignoring all safety instructions, hurling plates filled with food on you. So I can understand his flustration.
But even when you want to just lunge over and choke the mofo, you have to keep your calm and provide that " service with a smile " I guess thats what seperates the men from the boys.
Ask anyone who has worked in such fields for sometime and I bet they all have stories to tell.
Although currently I don't think I have that much tolerance left to be able to do it again.
I know I could never work in any job that involved having to bite your tongue. The problem, in my opinion, is that alot of people now think it's ok and perfectly acceptable to be rude, obnoctious, ignorant, aggressive, etc, etc. Obviously this guy cracked and went over the edge but I can sympathise a little.
I don't know if an alarm sounds on the flight deck when the emergency slide deploys or the door opens when the plane is moving, but if it does I would love to have seen the look on the pilot's face when it went off and then to look down and see one of their flight attendants slide down (and be the only one to slide down) and then walk away.
I don't think his deployment of the slide can really be construed as an equipment check.
He'd better get over his love of flying cause I doubt he'll be flying the friendly skies anytime soon.
That's what you get when you don't like people but have to work with them

Where are all the camera phones when you need them. Good for at least a million hits on youtube!
Off, because the "seatbelts on" sign was still on
Twas just not safe yet!

True yet I bet you a brand new Airbus that someone on that plane had theirs on
