For 4,500 years, the Great Pyramid at Giza has enthralled, fascinated and ultimately frustrated everyone who has attempted to penetrate its secrets.

Interesting. I remember the early 90s attempts to get at the shafts.

Cue the Alien-built-the-pyramids goof-offs. These guys always come out when anything is mentioned about the Giza monuments

The Curse of the Mummy shall possess the robot. Thus the reign of SkyNet shall begin.

Thought I saw something on TV years ago where they sent some kind of mobile camera in there?

Some of the areas are fairly small and dangerous, just right for a robot.

You're right...if i remember correctly it didn't traverse the entire section. I guess this new one is supposed to accomplish that.

I remember that the robots were kind of primitive and kept conking out.

With the advances in robots (Iraq and Afghanistan have at least had a positive impact in the development of this technology) it should be very interesting.

Little RC tracked vehicle with a camera going up some shaft to discover how it had been blocked. Interesting, but it didn't see much.

Yeah that sounds like it. Nothing a fiber optic cable probably couldn't do now.
