Some things are done for the good of the child and this was a good thing done.

I am not sure 100% about this subject matter so pardon my ignorance.

Why would the government take the children of Neo Nazi's because of their names? Were the children abused? The article doesn't seem to mention that, were the parents negligent? I'm not sure what grounds the government can take children away from parents in this case, other than their names.

Don't get me wrong, Nazis are scum, but isn't it a bit heavy handed to take their children because of bad naming decisions. It's the nazis today, but it could be anyone tomorrow.

It is the job of parents to give their children a smooth happy road thru life.
The Hitler name can only mean a rocky road for the child. And that is wrong for any parent to do.
How very sad for such a young child.

Yes its just a name, of no more concern than naming a kid "Purple" or "Lemon"...well except those people are not going to feed their kids racist thoughts and an upbringing and are not setting them up to be hated by nearly everyone that know them, in the long run creating a bunch of racist outcasts and essentially ruining their lives. This is certainly a form of child abuse it just does not come with physical scaring.

And in case someone goes the route of saying the parents are not racists save your breath and don't insult your intelligence.

Even if we do not agree with the name that they chose, I don't feel that it is right that they should lose custody of their child. It is not like they were abusing him. What is truely in a name? Yes, it is identity but it does not signify who that person will become. Maybe they chose the name to rectify it's importance?

Yeah, maybe thats it. In other news Robert Pickton was just trying to show young ladies that prostitution and living on the streets was not safe in hopes they would turn over a new leaf.

You'll make a good defense lawyer. If you are not already then you missed your calling.

On Thursday, an appeals court said there was evidence of abuse in the home,

    Methinks you're wrong.

I strongly believe that there is more to the story than just the name.
