Far be it from me to pass up a legitimate opportunity to criticize the administration, but I don't really begrudge them their fancy vacations. People should be able to enjoy their money (provided it is done legally). However, they should not attempt to portray themselves as sharing in the rest of America's plight while doing so.

If the Democratic Party keeps this BS up there is going to be a big Republican sweep and they are NOT going to like the changes.

    They're a wealthy couple.

The Obamas were millionaires before they entered politics. They can spend how they want.

The same people who complain against tax increases for the rich, the same ones complaining about the Obama’s wealth spending habits.

Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

They're not embezzling state funds. If they were, then perhaps a Mary Antoinette comparison could hold.

In this case, it seems to me that the media frenzy over Michelle is creating sour grapes amongst the opposition (voters).

Woo-hee, that's quite the hacthet job. I suppose the writer would rather have some kind of wealth distribution scheme?

I recall during the campaign Obama tried to 'relate' to a group of Iowa farmers by complaining about the price of arugula at the food co-op in Chicago.

This hardly seems like a violation of the purpose of Airforce Two or the Secret Service.

    But it is their money.

They're not using tax payer’s money. Their personal wealth is pretty descent.

If it’s their money, quite bluntly put, you have no right to complain.

I agree Sock, it's just another partisan jab at Obama from the usual suspects.
