Being bullied and humiliated by Simon Cowell is a major part of the shown which is why I don't watch it.

She says her performance, screened in May last year, suffered as a result of numerous medical complaints which left her with constant pain and meant she could not sing in noisy raucous environments.

Euhmmm, then maybe a singing career is not for you?

At first, I thought "publicity stunt".
Then I saw this, "Miss Czikai, who is representing herself...", which probably means that no lawyer wants to represent her, which means she has very little chance of winning.

Besides, I'd be surprised that the show doesn't have all contestants sign an air-tight waiver.

Oh I'm sure theres some signed clause about not holding the show liable for any humiliation/loss of self esteem due to being on it, which is probably why no lawyer will represent her.

Waivers don't matter one bit. Fair criticism is legal and you can't sue someone over it. If you could movie studios would be suing any critic who gave their movies a bad review.

Karaoke contests are worth anything anyway if the participants aren't blind stinking drunk. I can't believe that someone's out there making massive amounts of money of this sort of pop culture dreck.
