An amateur scientist has compiled a forecast to enable observers to view a mysterious type of cloud. Noctilucent clouds appear as wispy, luminous, silvery-blue clouds in the dark Northern sky, often with a wavy pattern.
Does make for some very nice photos. I'm sure I've done a bouple photos with these clouds once but at sunset when they were more deep red or orange. Maybe not the same cloud type but sure looked like it. To bad I read this story the day after
I would have tried to take a photo but it was a wee bit too dark. I also found out last week that you must be VERY patient... and lucky... to get a picture of a lightning bolt.

Great photographic use of black and white to accent the clean lines. Nice work on such a chance shot.
