This verdict confuses me. If he didn't murder the guy, how was his conduct disgraceful?

I think that's still the end of his military career. I would have liked to see outright not innocent.

He was never gonna be getting off with this andy and you are right. No more CF for this guy.

He's a soldier so he'll find another army to fight for.

A better result than I expected.

    Andy,
is there a difference between what happened and innocent?

disgraceful conduct is a bit like 'conduct unbecoming a XXXX' it is a 'if anything else won't stick, this will' charge. The good news is, it can be a very light penalty or very server. It just depends, that being said if it is light, that doesn't mean his military career is over per say.

Next time they'll be leaving the serverly wounded to the Taliban, much more humane fate from what I hear. /Sarcasm.

Indeed, it is more like something to block him from climbing any higher in rank but this is not bad enough to make it impossible for him to rejoin/stay in the CF.

A step up from Sec. 119 of the QR&Os?

There have been lots of incidents where doing the right thing has carried a cost.
