First Nations leaders have vowed to continue the fight to change the name of Vancouver's Stanley Park, even after the federal government nixed the idea.

Good, finally the government gets some balls. They get way too much to already. All for being natives. Though, will the government keep it up?

I swear, the natives need to get over the fact there land is taken over. Well they shouldn't forget about it, it's a history. There history infact, as well as something they should remember. However if they continue to carry this hate, always trying to bring this country back a couple hundred years like they can reverse time and get there land back. Shits going to get fucked up. I don't really imagine Canadians continueing to just stand there and take that bullshit. Maybe even to a point where there would be dick all the RCMP can do to stop it. As the RCMP is the only thing stopping Canadians from retaliating against Natives going across there reserves, fucking up Canadian property. Causing trouble, drama than getting a free ticket back home with no slap on the rist because they are natives.

Anyone with a name like 'Squamish' should fight to change their name.

It looks like the Squamish aren't squeamish about badgering the government. When are the going to go for cash or did they do that already.

The park's original name is Stanley Park. It was never known as XwayXway Park. The park was created by the government, not a tribal council.

It appears Chief Ian Campbell has a fan.

It's there are thousands more who'll support anything.
You can probably turn on the tv and see a placard pronouncing "Lesbian Mothers Against the Budget supports Xwayxway Park". An interview with the young spiky-haired idiot in the leather jacket with things hammered through his face. Another with the insecure bitch that didn't like "Debby" and insists it's spelled with a "Z".

Like I say if the people who live somewhere want to change a name, that's cool. Whether it's to Iqaliut, Haida Gwaii or Cornhole Ont. They live there.
So we should be choosing between "Goddadollar Park" or "YagotwennybuckstwennybucksIreallyneedtwennybucksI'm hurtintwennybucks Park"
