If you're about to warn your teenager about the dangers of texting or talking on the phone while driving, a new report suggests you look in the mirror first.

When I am waiting at the a light I watch how many people go by in the other direction talking or texting on phones. Far majority are women.

My own personal observation would see women of all ages, taliking or texting, out number men by at least a 5-1 ratio!

Maybe men are just better at hiding it. 8)

That's because we have more shit to deal with in a day than men do

I keep thinking one of these days government will come come up with an "electronic tunnel" over roads tyhat will block cell phone frequencies to end talking/texting while driving.

I still see many adults driving and talking on cell phones. It makes me want to run them off the road. Is this excessive?

Good point. The ones that really piss me off are when there is a driver talking on a phone and yet there is a passenger just sitting there. Why not hand the phone off idiot?

I still don't get what would be so important one can't wait until they are parked. I don't even use the text function on my cell, that is when its even charged. If I have something quick that is so important to say while I'm in the middle of dinner, shopping, at a friends place etc. I'll call and say it.

One of our forum mates was tell us how when he was out having dinner with his wife there was this young couple having a very romantic candle light dinner. Nothing unusual about that except they weren't talking to one another they were texting.

Recalling my candle light dinners texting and cell phones were not on my mind. If I had my cell phone on me I guarantee it would be OFF.

I never really got the idea of texting unless it was a list or something like that. I to prefer to talk, except while driving.

I've been turning my cell phone off in the car. That is the best way to insure I not using the cell phone while driving.
