The B.C. Supreme Court has issued a ruling that could bring Canadian chocolate lovers a step closer to compensation from the country's major candy manufacturers.
Not sure what is up with all the comments about sueing and price fixing. A company should be able to charge what ever they want, if you do not like it do not buy it. Find a different supplier.
And just how are you supposed to prove you bought these companies chocolate between 2001 and 2008?
Without a comprehensive breath and blood sugar test, with a high reading as a criteria, I can see millions of people trying to make the claim that they ate these overpriced chocolate bars during that time period.
They can't be serious about issuing compensation can they?
They're going to punish them by making them put one extra Smartie in every box. And they'll respond by making all the Smarties even smaller....
What do you expect from an outfit that sells KitKat Slim, a HALF a candy bar in a package labeled ONLY HALF THE CALORIES for the same price as a whole one, and a public so fucking stupid they actually buy them?
Like those half-cans of Coke for a dollar a six pack more than the full cans...
