Speeding tickets and log-book infractions have made up the majority of tickets handed out by a new safety committee formed to address commercial vehicle crashes on Highway 5A.

who needs a toll booth when you can just grab cash under the banner of safety. I would also like to see the whiners about trucks live without them. Everything in their house was moved by a truck at one point in time. If you stopped all of the trucks in Canada for two days the country would be ground to a halt.

Richard, are you complaining that they are enforcing the rules of the roads to big vehicles? If they followed the rules of the road there would be no problem. This issue rests with the truckers.

I'd save $300 a year on windshields if they'd just enforce PROPER MUDFLAPS on commercial trucks.
And the chiptrucks on Hwy16, is it not economical to seal them? Judging by the hurricanes of chips coming off at highway speeds 90% of them they must lose 10% of their load every 100 kms!

Yer absolutely right Richard. I mean who do those two think they are believing that truckers should also obey the rules of the road? Hell, they make the economy go so let's just let them do whatever the fuck they want right?
Tell ya what, when you've had a semi tire come bouncing towards you on the 401 cuz the truck it came flying off of was unsafe, then we'll talk. That truck tire could have moved us to a new neighbourhood... 6 feet under!
Sorry but my life is worth WAY more than all the shit in my house that was moved by a truck at some time.

Typical response. That is why I am one of the longest/oldest members here but rarely post. Tires coming of a truck has nothing to do with the current so called discussion.
