Yers a blank round is better than a live round, but even blanks can kill people. Especially large calibre tank blanks. Someone should pay dearly for this screwup!

the soldiers, who were taking part in a training exercise on the base, were all members of 12 RBC Valcartier in Quebec.

Hmmm I think I found the reason why it happened....

Meh I know not all those that come from Valcartier are morons, but the ones they do have tend to make the news quite often.

Based on their previous history it's not idiotic.

Sure, these same soldiers fight in Afghanistan, for the ''Canadian'' Forces.

So only because they are ''French'', that should not automatically make them clumsy or anything like that. That could have easily happened to troops from other Western regiments, but then it would have never made the news.

Exactly how is this relative to the story? Also Canadian is not put in italics when describing the Canadian Forces.

So only because they are ''French'', that should not automatically make them clumsy or anything like that. That should not even had made the news, perhaps that could have NEVER happened to ROC soldiers right, surely there are better things to report on the part of the ROC media.

It is nothing to do with being french but everything to do with a history of screwups. It made the news due to the fact that it was a major safety violation that injured a number of troops, just like any other Canadian Forces unit.

I guess because they are a unit based in Quebec we should not name them because people like you see a deliberate attempt to humiliate all Quebecers.

The comment in itself was bluntly ignorant, that's all.

Only pointing out that it is comment such as this that gives ''ammunition'' to the separatists or even soft nationalism in the province. Notice the word game. :)

Btw, not upset or anything of the genre, only pointing out that perhaps that sort of comment could have been easily left out.

And a little respect for ''ALL'' soldiers part of the Canadian Forces, not only those that come from the ROC.

Blow it out your ass Pimp, have you worked with people from 12 RBC, the Vandoos or those from 12 RGC?

    Im guessing no.

Did you bother reading the quote I had after 2Cdo? I have said it before and I will say it again to you, Not all soldiers are created equal. Spend some time with a unit from Valcartier and you will see exactly what I mean. To switch this around to a English vs French thing is just stupid, its competent soldiers vs incompetent soldiers.

Also, if it would have happened anywhere it would have made the news, if you injure 11 people because you are a fuck up you will make the news.
