A group of artists in Arizona have been asked to "lighten" the faces of Black and Hispanic children on a large mural

    No, there's no racism in America! None at all!

    IMO, I don't think "happier and brighter" necessarily means "whiter", sounds more like that individual was referring to lighting and possibly expression.

    The city councilman though, is an ass. And that fact that racists feel free enough to shout racial slurs at children while they paint, suggests that the overall social scene and mainstream cultural attitudes in Prescott, AZ create a permissive environment for some to act out in that unacceptable manner
