A senior Israeli official tells Jerusalem Post that "his is a definite possibility that we need to prepare for." How will Israel prepare for such an event is not elaborated. Hopefully things won't get to that level of escalation.
"KorbenDeck" said What does Iran have to to with Gaza?
Nothing at all. The statement from Amadinejad that we will wipe wipe Israel off the map and Iran's works on Nuclear technology including nuclear weapons is what's prompting this.
Israel takes any of this kind of talk very seriously and if there is going to be a first strike they will be the ones doing it.
Don't get me wrong, the Israelis are the bullies in the area and I agree with the protesters.
The israelies apparaantly have decided that in the bullying business its better to have bloody knuckles than a bloody face.
The boat that was 'attacked' by the IDF was from Turkey and lot of Turks where on it. Since it happened in international waters, Turkey says it's ac act of piracy. So, they may escort another turk ship with navy ships to protect them in international waters.
The more I learn about what happened the more that I see that this incident was a big black eye for Israel. I don't know why the Israelis want to block food and medicines and the violence was uncalled for.
The Turks probably just so want to see that violence happen again.

Israeli ships cannot participate in pirate actions by definition since they carry a military commission.
This would tempt the Israeli's to nuke Iran and get out quickly.
Releasing these 'aid / attack' ships from port is provocation enough.
