How much money would it take to get you to lose some serious weight? $100? $500?

Just put a fat tax on income. if you are fat (and have no medical reason to justify it) than you pay another 10% income tax. Could also make the tax rise and fall with fittness

overweight is a side effect of almost every chronic disease out there.but we still tend to judge the person harshly.

I've always felt no matter what the reason for being overweight ( your fault or not your fault) the strategies for weight management remains the same.

Unfortunately, some of us have developed an opinion that if a person isn't at some sort of 'ideal' or 'healthy' weight then he isn't managing his weight, and deserves to be judged harshly.

I'd bet a big reason for this is that many companies subsidize (or pay entirely for the health plan), and this is a far cheaper option than making sure the VPs get heart surgery every couple of years.

After all, healthier employees will tend to make fewer claims and therefore the premiums will be cheaper.

I am too skinny, and need to gain weight. What do I get? Oh wait, since I am not fat, I MUST be SUPERHEALTHY!! (I am also terribly out of shape, since I do everything by car.)

    What a load of bullshit.

Yes, we understand that Americans "like too much food on breakfast, lanch etc" But trying to make people healthy by less eating is stupid, to make it by including taxation is more stupid. Maybe they should examine food which is selling, make some propaganda, there are different ways, In one time they've made smoking "uncultural" or heavy saying "not so cool". Why they can't do the same with much eating?.
