I see where the "suspect" bumped his head and was transported to hospital. I wouldn't be suprised if there's a lawsuit against the Mounties for excessive use of force by this thug.

I bet there is already a few lawyers trying to get in contact with the suspect for just that reason.

Constitution and rule of law be damned. Let the RCMP just execute anyone they want.

You know that every time you post, you subtract from the collective intelligence of CKA?

    I'm really concerned.

And, I'm fully aware of the rule of law and the Constitution and whatnot, but seriously, some of these criminals don't seem to understand much else than a taste of their own medicine. And since our pathetic justice system will somehow not give that fool a sentence that he deserves, albeit a watered down one, what's the point anyways?

If you choose a life of crime, don't be surprised of the consequences. That fool made his bed, now let him lie in it, even if it means a little Police brutality.

"At the time [the suspect] was brought into the secure perimeter, there was nothing to indicate that his intentions were violent," said Purvis.

Nothing except his violent past and attempt to kill cops before.......

CPS shot him in the head eh? My money is on lawyers blaming CPS for messing him up in the head and leading to this.

So, you speak of Justice, yet you favour vengeance in it's place. You say 'these criminals' yet the attacker in question was being interviewed by ASIRT - get this - because Police shot him in the head last year.

I'm not saying this guy is a shining example of a model citizen, and I agree with you about the wimpy justice system. But that is no excuse to turn a system of justice into a system of vengeance. The 'Get a rope' mentality left this province a century ago. And none too soon.
