Will N.Korea really give a "hoot" about these imposed sanctions? All one has to do is look at the history of N. Korea to see the damage Kim Jong il, and his father Kim II sung have done to their own people. Going to war against South korea, is probarly one of Kim Jong il's fantasies!

"Harper's statement adds that Canada is committed to a co-ordinated international response, including through the United Nations Security Council."

This a noncommittal way of saying we're committed to going in if someone bigger then us does?

"So far, China has refrained from criticizing the North, which it supplied with troops during the Korean War."

    Meaning they still haven't decided.
