That's been the standard at Riding Mountain National Park for over 20 yrs. People balked at it but accepted it eventually...or just snuck in vodka infused watermelons.
As mentioned in the article, this has been a 'long week-end practice' in provincial campgrounds for years. It doesn't affect me cuz I don't 'partake of the grape', but it still pisses me off that because of a few idiots, 'responsible people' can't sit around the fire and enjoy a few brewskis!
A few bad apples always ruin it for the rest of us, plenty of camping trip involving booze after the kids go to sleep, not once was our group ever approached by rangers over noise or rowdiness, responsability is the key weather at a provincial campground or at your own backyard firepit.
But damn, yeah, that sucks for those of us who can drink like reasonable people.
honest occifer, it was an occident
