I wonder if they call having some dirt on it damage. Or is damage to their pride enough?

Well the fact that they replaced the flag alone is enough for those assholes to receive their just desserts. If it was done to our flag in Canada we'd be having a screaming fit.

    This was the original report:
Her son, Robert Sterling Jr., climbed up the mountain in early March to replace the Canadian flag with a new American one.

He said he found the old one torn apart and buried underneath a pile of rocks.

    That is desecration to me.

Funny, I guess I feel a little more lenient about this. I'm just writing it off to emotional exuberance and I'm thinking they'll never do anything like this again. Make them pay for a new flag and maybe have them do a little community service and then let it go.

I agree. Plus a public apology to the local residents.

But Bart, what if Muslim kids had done the same thing (except put up some Muslim country's flag)?

If the Muslim kids had put up the Maple Leaf? I'd not only let it slide, I'd cheer them on for putting Canada ahead of their ideology. R=UP

However, had they put up something other than the Maple Leaf... PDT_Armataz_01_35

Your leniency is likely due to the fact that these pukes weren't representing country abroad...

Hmmm. Yeah, I suppose if this was two Americans pulling the same stunt in Vancouver I'd probably want to see them made far more uncomfortable than I'm sure you folks would be willing to do to them.
