When are we finally going to get tough with these people? Your Canadian or your not Canadian. Same laws for all people, don't like it leave. Not your land anymore, not right to power claims or land claims. Get over yourselves, move on stop living in the past.

Well, the natives have a special bond with the earth, so of course they should not be prosecuted. They should be thanked for managing the wildlife so skilfully.

But it does sound like NFLD is getting tough now:
Meanwhile, the government said it has bought a camera with a longer zoom lens and better stabilization.

Everyone still pissed off at native people. When will people get it into their heads that the Aboriginal population of Canada is just pissed off at TRC because of a long history of bad treatment. The Gov. of N&L could try working with the Innu like this:

The BQCMB may not be perfect but it sure beats a whole bunch of honkeys standing about tisk tisking about how irresponsible bush niggers are!

So when do we finally have one law equally applied? I've never oppressed natives and none of the natives I know have ever been oppressed, but they can hunt year round whereas I have to only hunt during specified seasons. Some natives are irresponsible, as are some "honkeys", when do we start asking natives to accept some personal responsibiltiy for their lot in life? Or do we constantly treat them like spoiled children and just keep giving until they shut up?

It's enshrined in the constitution. Aboriginals are spatial, get Rights Plus™. It will never change.

Tisk tisk! Treaty's give some aboriginal peoples rights that you and I don't have. The BNA and Canadian Constitution give all aboiginal peoples some extra rights. If you check out the BQCMB web site you will see that it is an attempt to come to terms with what many white Canadians see as abuses of those rights. Like many I have met say, well, go back on the deal and give us back N.A.
