Canadian dollar above parity until release of disappointing jobs report

...and as soon as a barrel of oil goes up a bit more, Canada's Petro Dollar will reach parity or better again.

I suppose it is fitting that Canada's Petrodollar goes plastic, being plastic is made from the same petrochemical as the fiber we call polyester.

Since we keep importing the same number of people in good times and in bad, it's pretty hard to get unemployment to fall. The economy has to be really booming to do that. Stop immigration now and watch those numbers drop, then we can have a discussion about who to let in.

I just read that the US has to add something like 166,000 jobs a month just to stay even with their population growth. Wonder what that figure is for Canada?
