Sarah Palin tried the same thing in the States through the Republican National committee. It didn't sit too well with the voters.

This fool has caused more embarrassment to the government and the people of Canada and those who elected her...if harper doesn't dump her, her constituents will.

    There is a pattern here.

Lets look at the fact that Stevie-baby has gone out of his way to make the Tories more 'diverse' by throwing a few chicks and people who don't have pasty white skin into the mix.

I've seen it in many public service organisations. People who are less than competent and don't have the neccesary skill set are getting over-promoted purely because of PC optics. Rona Ambrose, Belinda Stronach, Jaffer, Guergis, Lisa Raitt....etc etc.

Not that I want to defend Guergis as she's obviously an embarrassment, but I would be curious to know how many other politicians have the same sorts of shady expense claims. It seems to me that this is the kind of minor scandal that usually only comes up when someone's already in the news for bad behaviour.

Yahoo.ca is either quicker than CKA, or just considers this worth mentioning.

How is it quicker and why would it be? It's the CKA members who post the news stories here. They just don't automatically appear.

You mean the home page is composed of news stories gathered by members?

It's up on the home page now, but when I first read about it on Yahoo, I didn't see it on the homepage. I wanted to be a good little boy and use the CKA link and all.

Yes. That's why I've tried to encourage you to use that feature to post news stories.

Wow, didn't realize that. People are certainly busy. You've got to admit I've been a good little boy these days tho. I even did use the submit news feature a few times. I just didn't realize that all stories came to that page by diligent work of members.
