If this guy needs to hear his music that loud, he needs to hang out at more bars or go to more concerts. I love music, but I don't particularly like to listen to my neighbour's music and Idon't think my neighbours need to hear my music..
So you guys say you can, without a problem, blast out music all day, so loud that it bothers everyone, with your windows and doors open?
I'm sorry, but if you live in a neighbourhood with other people, you have to respect them. Don't want that? Go move out of town and do whatever the fuck you please on your acreage.
I had a neighbor like that when I was a kid. Ran the stereo at ungodly volumes day and night. Then he got a night job and started complaining when I'd mow the lawn at 8am because HE wanted to sleep and HE needed it quiet.
I checked and found it was legal to start using a chain saw at 7am.
For several weeks before I'd go to school I'd be sure to get up and warm up my McCullough 360 'just to make sure it was working'.
See the pic of all the stuff they took, clearly an overindulgence on the stereo equipment there. Mutual respect for ones neighbors would be the thing to look at here, obviously it got to a point where something had to be done, I can understand the arguments about noise bylaws, but regardless of what times the bylaws dictate one should respect their neighbors rights as well, Just because I can blast Slipknot out of my house starting at 7 am doesn't mean I should.

I agree!
The noise bylaw is in effect 24/7 here in Peterborough, and it SUCKS!!!!
Sorry but that is not fair. I work nights and I need to sleep during the day. In fact every single emergency service you can think of is pretty much staffed 24 hours a day and those workers deserve to get a good days sleep.
If you really want to blast music during the day then all hospitals, fire, police, and ambulance services will close at 5PM sharp so that they do not need to staff workers who sleep at odd hours.
Kids need their nap. But I guess its ok to park my screaming, overly tired kids in your house when you want to sleep and you finally turned your music down.
Its just anti-social to think you have the right to cause others trouble.

Sorry no. Everyone deserves to enjoy themselves without having some jackass neighbour disturbing them. Not to mention people like myself who work the graveyard shift and have to try and sleep during the day.
