OTTAWA – RCMP officers who guard Parliament Hill are being equipped with submachine guns to give them more stopping power should a gunman attack the heart of Canada's government.

    You can't be too safe when it regards you political leaders. If some moronic group wants to take out to take out some government officials you want the mounties to have the upperhand.

    Why? Political leaders are expendable. Good Mounties are in short supply.

    Great point, DrCaleb.

    Probably a lot easier to replace a politician than a Mountie.
    I say leave the Mounties out of it and arm the politicians.
