Rick Hansen has not been offered the post of Canada's next governor general, a spokesperson for the wheelchair athlete said Saturday.

Well, since it's supposed to be Governer , how about Dallaire or MacKenzie?
Might be good for Parliament to have a little military discipline during its course of "business" instead of it being Romper Room for adults.

How about Conrad Black? As a GG behind bars, he will be able to do his work via correspondence, as he does with his columns in the National Post. He would save the taxpayer millions of dollars a year in travel expenses.
