Regardless of his political views, murder is simply not justified.

This cannot be condoned in any shape or form.

Oh, it's South Africa. You get killed over a couple of cents there. No biggie. It makes the news because he stood up for his (racist) believes, but otherwise, it would just have been another day at the office.

It's most likely true. He was killed by his own farm workers over pay.

South Africa is always had this awkward paradigm, where those who scream loudest for separation and segregation, used different races to work for them.

I would imagine there'll be a number of groups watching to see how this plays out. Either way, those for enforcing the rule of law and supporting the current policy of integration are going to come under fire.

Well things certainly can't go back to the "old ways" of racial segregation.

This will be more of a test of the RSA's justice system than a debate on racial violence.

I wasn't claiming they would return to apartheid, maybe I wasn't clear enough.

Anything of this nature in the RSA will turn into a debate on violence, just as the extremists will seek to use it as justification. Nothing the government will do in this case can satisfy those groups. He'll either be another white farmer martyr or another damn Boer out of the way.

Those weren't the reasons why he was killed, but it looks like he had no issues using murder and terrorism to spread his "political views".

I find it a bit unsettling that people want to celebrate this guy's savage murder. He was hacked to death by two brutes with machetes, and some people on this board have the nerve to say that the human gene pool just got a bit cleaner. How so? So now we have one less racist and two more murderers. How is that clean, by any measure?

If I lived in a place as fucked up as South Africa, I'd probably be a racist too.

Don't get me wrong, he was a bad person, but murder is murder. If I broke into the home of the Lockebie bomber and smashed his face into his pillow, I would still be arrested and prosecuted, regardless of his past.



The true litmus test of racial tolerance is living amongst others. A Norwegian in Norway would have little incentive to hate other races. The same Norewegian living in Los Angeles or Toronto would have his tolerance better tested. You can replace Norwegian with Indian, Ghanaian and so on.
